Abstract

This paper deals with “k” type guttural consonants of the South Kyungsans Korean using experimental data. To write this paper a complex methodology, including linguistic and instrumental techniques, was used. Guttural consonants are researched by several parameters such as lenth, aspiration, occlusivenes - fricativeness, explosions. According to our data, all initial allophones are voiceless. Statistical data shows that the length of the sound is not the differential cue for all phonemes. To a greater or lesser degree all allophones have aspiration. In the result of the detailed analysis transformations of aspirated and fortis initial guttural consonants were found.
