Elective course educational course "Anthropology of corporeality" in the framework of soft skills in the practice of training specialists in a technical university

Abstract

In recent years, in the Russian educational space of higher education there is a discussion about the introduction of additional self-development modules, which imply the formation of competencies of critical thinking, self-presentation, emotional intelligence, Intercultural communication and other social skills for personal growth.  It should be noted that most universities in the country and Russian employers do not have a uniform standard on the formation of criteria and the level of development of flexible skills. The study is aimed at studying aspects of training of graduates of engineering, technical specialties, and humanities in the process of their study in a technical university. The important role of universal (over professional) skills, called soft skills ("flexible skills"), is emphasized.

The developed author’s elective course "Anthropology of corporeality" was tested in the conditions of the largest Russian university - Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great. The discipline offers the organization of a holistic view of the specificity of intercultural, gender, emotional, non-verbal, social communication, based on the development of universal competencies of higher education. The main methodological concepts of the course are based on the general logic of anthropogenesis, cultural genesis and sociogenesis, so the scientific problem has a fundamental and humanitarian character.
